Hi there!

My name is Abhijeet. It's very nice to meet you. :-)

I’m currently a graduate student at the University of Toronto, pursuing my M.A.Sc. in electrical and computer engineering. I’m excited about science, energy and the environment, and by how we as humans interact with and can understand it to make the best decisions we can for our communities and the planet.

My research interests involve both EV-grid integration in the home (particularly with Vehicle-to-Grid, or V2G for short) as well as DC fast charging strategies in commercial stations. As a researcher I am affiliated with UTEV (the University of Toronto Electric Vehicle Research Centre, for short).

I am also an alumnus of the Texas Academy of Mathematics and Science (c/o 2020) and the University of Texas at Austin (c/o 2024). I have a background in student science journalism coming from my undergrad, being a staff writer and ex-editor-in-chief of UT’s Vector Student Engineering Magazine.

To that end, I love communicating and writing about the world around me, and the Writing section below is full of passionate ventures into journalism and data study on various topics (or at least I try to keep it that way).

In my spare time, I’m an avid collector of CDs and vinyl, and I love music, particularly in styles like emo and post-hardcore, 1990s post-rock and ambient-pop, new wave, and indie rock. I also love drama films and nature literature.
